The Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft overturned upon landing in snowy conditions. All 80 individuals on board survived, though 21 were injured. Delta Air Lines has offered $30,000 to each passenger as compensation.

Additionally, on January 29, 2025, a midair collision occurred over the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The accident involved an American Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 and a U.S. Army Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. The collision resulted in the deaths of all three occupants of the helicopter; however, the passengers and crew of the CRJ700 survived

These incidents have raised concerns about aviation safety, prompting investigations by relevant authorities to determine causes and implement preventive measures.
